About Richard McCarthy

Scarborough, Maine-based Richard McCarthy serves as the chief financial officer of Avery Investments in Portland. As such, Richard McCarthy focuses on organizational growth and development, primarily by prospecting for new properties and investors.

In addition to dispatching his obligations with Avery Investments, the Scarborough-based financial leader functions as the chief financial officer of DLTC Healthcare in Rockport. Prior to joining DLTC in 2017, he spent more than four years as the finance director of Quest Diagnostics in Wallingford, Connecticut, and eight years as the finance director of United Technologies in Hartford.

An alumnus of Fairfield University with a bachelor of science in accounting, Mr. McCarthy received his master of business administration from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University. Over the course of his career as a financial leader in the health care sector, he has established himself as a member of several industry organizations, including the American Health Care Association and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
